The Wilson General Store was built in 1885 and was moved to the Clermont Historical Village in 2006. It was the first general store in the area and is now an authentic replica of the original store. The store was the home of a Wilson general merchandise business. It’s filled with items donated by the community and features a kid’s zone. A kid’s zone offers a place to make crafts or pose for a selfie with a cute cat.

The downtown area is the perfect place to get away from the busy and fast-paced pace of modern living. There are many places to eat in Clermont, from local diners to coffee shops. The Townsend House is the most historic home in the town. The original location was just off of what is today’s Highway 50, but the current location is much more historic and preserved.
